the cats shitting facilities are not antiquate.
if meow meow is used to shitting outside, you can espect they want a very similiar setting. Larger space and some privacy. Let your cat know that this is there shit spot, if they accept it you will be able to tell. As for running away, cats got needs. 10 days though seems extreme. All my indoor out door cats have had up to 3 day disappearing adventures. goddam pussycat.

But honestly, you locked the cat in the house. Of course she is getting back at you. Shit where you sleep, you have done something wrong. Cats can't talk, but they sure do communicate. Though they can be horrible at it.

maybe bring some plants and nature stuff inside the house? Get some catnip for when she wont shut up. It is a drug to them.

Hmmm I've never had a cat the shit in my bed, but I did know a cat who would poop directly outside the litterbox everytime.... the cat knew where to go, but decided to miss the litter, every... single... time... lol.

I love cats. I would probably show her it and at the same time scold her verbally. A little cat poop never hurt anybody.
