My dog did this the other night. Left her outside on the run for a few hours since it was nice outside, came back in, slept for maybe a hour then woke up, went into her cage and puked up her poop. It was the most vile smell I think I've ever smelled. I actually dry heaved and she even tried to eat her poop puke! I was so pissed. I cleaned it up though and the only thing I can think of doing is watch her when she does go poop and pick it up. Dogs will get over Tabasco sauce if they want to eat their own shit bad enough. They can be stubborn dickheads sometimes. When you let her out just clean up after her best you can.

My dog decided to un-potty train herself. She started shitting and pissing inside the house again. So I did what I used to do when I potty trained her, put her nose in it, let her go outside, let her have the chance to go potty outside, praise her for going outside then put her ass in her cage until she whines. No dog will shit in their cage. The only time I ever saw my dog shit in her cage was when she was a few weeks old, she backed her ass up to the side of the cage and pooped outside the cage. You could do the same thing when you catch her eating her shit, shove her nose in it and say "No eat" or stick with one saying that doesn't sound like any other saying you have for her if you know what I mean.

this is outdated and proven to cause more issues than it solves.

Being pretty damn serious actually lol. U have to do it as their sitting tho. Can't find their dump hours later then hunt down the dog to put their nose in it. That just confuses em. Gotta catch em in the act

well then you obviously have no training with animals.
any animal behaviorists will tell you not to "discipline" your animal when potty training, as it will cause them to be sneaky about where they're going potty.
not to mention when you take your animal outside to go potty. they will refrain from going in front of you because they're afraid they'll get disciplined.
putting a dogs nose in their waste is old and out-dated, and like I said before. proven to cause more issues than it solves. If you would like reading material from known animal behaviorists I can provide you with links.
Or you can just take my word for it being I am a behaviorist. But online people don't like being told they're wrong, that's okay. Links work too.

Edit : hell even wiki is against negative punishment.

Put something that tastes terrible in her shit...besides just the shit, which is clearly somehow appetizing.
Something you know she hates, just show it right up in her shit
Then she'll eat the shit and be like "Man, this shit really tastes shitty."
And do it til she like, "Fuck this shit eatin shit man"

wat taistes worst than shit...

then your lucky. but you don't look like you've had too many dogs.
Negative punishment is outdated and un-humane.
Should only be used if the training is in jeopardy or the owner is going to rehome if something isn't done instantly.

And when your around more dogs rescues/anxiety driven/aggressive/fighting/puppies/breeds.
You'll learn negative punishment can get you attacked.
Which would be your fault, only natural to respond aggressively if someone physically punishes you.
But I guess those kind of dogs should just go back to the shelter right because they responded negatively to your negative punishment.. -.-
Trying to help you understand the consequences of negative punishment.

http://www.wikihow.com/Potty-Train-a-Puppy silly how wiki says it this way. Don't agree with attempting to startle the dog but hey it's not physical punishment so it works.

i have offered information. I won't quote myself... go back and read previous posts.......................
you know the posts before you quoted and basically said. "it's fun to watch your dogs face when you ""get even with them"" for going potty in the house".
*rolls eyes*

owned a ton of dogs? you don't look too old to have owned a "ton" but nevertheless your not an expert and wiki disagrees with you.(link I provided in earlier post)

go back and read posts before you say something as silly as "haven't offered any input on the situation"
but what can I expect from d2jsp...

Edit -also, I didn't expect you to ask for the "Reading information I offered" but that's okay, trying to change the subject works with children, or people that get emotionally invested in something.
Not with someone who knows what they're talking about.
sit.

Won't reply to you anymore because it's not worth it, can only give someone information... impossible for them to accept being wrong when they just want to argue over the internet.
(I will reply with reading information if you ask for it in a pm, but I highly doubt that's something you're interested in)
