Not all the time, some snakes will just go off food for that long... Granted, years of no food is very uncommon and normally is the sign of a health problem, but the fact they can survive that long really says something

I would not recommend getting a pet just because you are going to have an apartment.

College is a terrible time to take on a new animal.

me or past roommates have had fish, lizards, snakes, rabbits.
personally reptiles are only really cool to show your friends
and the rabbit just ran away and if it stopped for 2 seconds shit everywhere, then kicked the shit all over the place..
