Canadian tenant/landlord act dictates that the landlord can't actually prevent you from keeping a pet. Check your local act.

I did the same thing but the cat liked to sit on the window seal so eventually i just went and told him that I have a cat just so he knows.. He changed my lease to "has a cat" so it worked out alright

i hid my cat from my landlord until my landlord came over and she came waltzing up to the front door. landlord didnt care. lol

Get a doctors note that says your cat is a companion pet.
Cannot be evicted if you have a doctors note. Frankly you could own an elephant.

At least this is the law in most states in the US.

I've been doing it for 3 years but i only have 1 cat.
