He is licking cause he is getting off.

Get him neutered and def give him more exercise. Dogs will always lick, but he will lick much less when he cant cum anymore

loool u know why he does it? because he can. perhaps play fetch or something with him, if he is occupied with something else he wont be licking himself.

throw Tobasco sauce or any type of hot sauce/spice onto his tongue every single, and i mean, every single time you catch him/her licking his junk, do something now whiles they are young or itll be a habit that lasts

It's just plain silly... Why would you do that? it doesn't harm their health and it's their normal behavior...

my dog does it very rarely, but in the other hand, I walk him in the morning and in the evening for more than 2 hours 30, so I guess he has enough exercise.
