I am very sorry for your loss. I too just lost an animal and it's terrible.
Just found my cat yesterday morning in the driveway passed away.
First cat I had, I'm 23, now and I've had her for 16 and a half years...
It really is like losing a family member when you become attached...

You never will. Particularly if it was your first dog.

You'll never forget your dog, but there are so many that need good homes the best thing to do is to adopt a new one.

Getting a carbon copy of your old dog? No.

You will spend the dog's entire life comparing him to your old dog even if you vow not to. It's not fair to you or the dog.
