My Husky Sheds about two times a year she sheds clumps out each time. I usually have her out for most of the time when shes shedding. Just gotta groom daily Goodluck :D

If you really end up giving it away, take it to a rescue, not a shelter.

Best way to take care of the shedding is to give it a good 5 minute brush 1 or twice a week.

Get an undercoat deshedding tool, itll reduce the amount of shedding by like 90% if you use it on a regular basis. Use it every day until it's under control, and then 2-3 times a week to maintain.
