I honestly do not think the brand of a litter plays a huge role in keeping the smell away.
I agree it does help a little, but cleaning and maintaining your litter box plays a bigger role here.
I've tried multiple brands of litter and can honestly say that it makes little to no difference at all.

I don't know how people can go longer than 24 hours without cleaning it. I'm pretty sure that is what causes 99% of the bad smell...
