Never leave a dog unattended.
I suggest contacting your neighbor and telling him your situation and see if he'll allow you to find a boarding facility that will work for the both of you.
What you plan on doing is unacceptable.

I think that the best course of action would be to just let the dog loose.

Just say that somebody broke into your house and stole the dog. Then say that you believe it was because the burglars were so annoyed by how much the dog barked all the time.

He'll hopefully understand and just go get another one :thumbsup:

Find a friend that is willing to watch the dog, or contact the owners and see if you could board the dog. Otherwise your a horrible fucking person if you leave it alone for 2 weeks.

Two options:

1. You stick to your word like a friend, neighbor, or any respectable human would. You can take vacation any time, but if you're neighbor is like me (or any other dog owner I know) you would never get another opportunity on account of him splattering your brain with a crowbar the moment he figured out what you'd done.
