Loads of mind games for dogs annd i reckon springers would love em.

If you cant walk the dog as much as needed you could always get a dog walker / treadmill

hey guys, my sister got a springer spaniel last Christmas.  Her name is Chevy.  This is without a doubt the most hyperactive dog I have ever met.  It makes me sad, cause though my sister loves Chevy, my sister just can't match the energy level and is getting kind of tired of her.
I understand that springer spaniels are very energetic dogs.  I'm just curious if anyone has any advice on how to approach the situation or training techniques.  Just general advice on how to approach insanely energetic dogs.
She's going to be raised as a bird hunting dog, if that makes a difference.
thanks in advance!

training should have started long ago
and if the dog is trained for the field then there should be no problem with her being too energetic for your sister

careful with these kind of dogs, an accident happen fast, lost my dog today, stroke by a car, a stupid 20 years old woman driving at 90 mph instead of 30. These dogs need a lot of exercise, and they may do everything to get the exercise.
What's the breed of your dog?

sad to hear that
she'll (hope i remember right) wait at the rainbow bridge for you
hope you find another one soon

As long as it isn't dog aggressive she can take it to a local dog park. Most people welcome an energetic dog to the park because it tires their dogs out that much more.

Having dealt with extremely hyper active dog before the only thing that really makes a huge difference is exercise. The dog needs to move and burn up energy. If your sister can get up even 10 minutes earlier to take the dog for a short walk or to let the dog out to run and play in the morning it helps make a difference all day. There are also some dog toys that stimulate play and get the dog moving like some of the Kong and Wobbler toys that make the dogs work for the treats. As sad as it is like some others have suggested her best bet might be to find the dog a home that has the time to properly exercise this type of dog.

A walk in the morning and afternoon when she gets home from work would make a world of difference.
