It's alot safer for the snake to feed frozen food, rats and large rodents have strong teeth and claws can easily damage the snake
It also makes your snake less aggressive
You can buy bulks and keep em frozen

Snakes would prefer live ofc but when you feed your snakes big rodents gotta be careful

But for your rat snake story sounds tight would be sweet to see

cage aggression happens a lot, that's why they say to feed in another cage. yeah if I had a prize snake I would feed f/t. not many out there have 10 k snakes

back when i was in high school we had an albino corn snake. at first we bought mice at the pet store, but then we started breeding our own.
