Your 30 gallon tank will not be sufficient for the bala shark. Everywhere i read suggest a minimum of 50 gallons for this fish.
I plan on doing something like this:
4-6 dwarf cory/panda cory/otocinclus depending on what my lfs has in stock
4-6 gold/white cloud mountain minnows or honey gourami or dalmatian molly
4-6 celestial pearl danios
and later on I may add some snails or shrimp.
with this setup i am advised to perform 25-30% water changes weekly.
too many fish. gonna get ick n diseases easy.
if weekly water change do 10 percent max. if monthly, do 25-30 percent....
