very cute. i love little birds like that. i found a tiny one that was injured a few years ago. took him home, cared for him. it took about a month for him to finally be able to like flap his wings but i think just lots of rest helps them heal quickly. gl~

he's getting pretty active in his cage... i think this little guy will actually be able to fly again. nonetheless, i am going to wait until this coming saturday to find out. 2 more days in captivity..

i was going to let him free today but there was a big snow/ice storm so ill hold off until the weather is better. i think i will even stick his cage in lower temperatures for a few hours to help him gradually acclimate back into his natural atmosphere before releasing him. the extra time shouldn't hurt anyway - broken bones take a while to heal.
