my condolences to OP, it's always hard to deal with the loss of a pet.

remember to always think about the good times that you brought into their lives (aswell as the happiness they brought to yours) when thinking of pets that have passed.

Then injects their heart with something to stop it.
Completely pain-free, and they move on to a better place.

I think it's best that you're there, they only offer that option for the weak of heart.

personally, I'd have my dog put down at my house and in his bed with me + the family close to them. That way they're comfortable and relaxed in a familiar environment rather than mostly (or entirely) surrounded by strangers in a strange and often frightening place.

sorry for your loss Handc0ck, I had to shoot my own dog when I was about 12 cause he (Timone - Dalmation) got ran over by a truck and broke his hips.... was sad, but a very valueble lesson in life! (and those who think shooting your animal is cruel, pshh its much more cruel to let them suffer.)

I'm so sorry! I had to put my baby down in 2010, and truthfully I'm still not over it... although I'm contemplating getting a new dog now... I couldn't for a long time (15 yr old chihuahua)
