i would definitely do alot more research into this to see exactly how safe it is for my dog, and if i find that is not painful/harmful to her, then yes i would be for this..but eh for now the dog i have is trained and will not run away, even in an unfenced yard =]

It's not harmful. It's just a subcutaneous injection, basically. The chip will generally get surrounded by a capsule of tissue and BAM, easy ID.

I dont chip my dogs because if they get out and kill something/someone , I don't want it coming back on me...lol Sad but true, I can't afford a $250,000 lawsuit because of the breed of my dog.

What kind of dog? Presa canario?

I dunno if we have that here in our country, but if there is, I wouldn't mind having my dog chipped. :)

it cost like $40 lol

it is an injection with a needle, hardly different than getting a vaccine or a blood draw, there is nothing inhumane about it.
there is no reason not to have your pet chipped

yeah, i was watching cats 101 yesterday and i think they said it was even like $20-30, guessing it would be the same for a dog
and doesn't it go near the back of their necks where they have all that extra skin anyways? doubt it hurts them very little if at all

Chips are inserted under the skin of their "scruff". It does hurt, because the needle is actually quite large (for a needle), but it fades very quickly when your awesome dog or cat gets pets and treats for behaving for it. Most pets wont react, but you'll get a screechy small breed dog every now and then.

would be a good idea for outside dogs who like to roam, they also have a pet tattoo kinda like a bar code
