Yep, I read they get to be 70 - 100 lbs and live for decades.

All this dude does is eat, sleep, walk around my backyard, walk around my bed, etc.

Greatest animal ever.

Yeah same haha, he eats a lot though, head of lettuce + some other fruits vegetables daily
Also rigged one of those dog-gloos and put a heating lamp in there for the nights and put some
large 4-5ft. tubes so he can walk through them and such.

Have been pretty busy but managed to take some pictures of my tortuous Scurvy.

His house he stays in, 2 Doggloos with a heating lamp and padding inside.

Well I got her when she was very young, maybe a month or three old.
Maybe due to the sun? But for the most part she has her home around 8ftx25ft
and a run the size of 4 acres during the day. As you can see we have dirt, so she
probably was dusty at the time.

eh, it doesnt seem that bad in the first photos. the last seems to show more pyramiding, but may just be lighting.

Wow, those guys are pretty big, do they still get freaked out when you approach them (i.e. do they go into their shells and whatnot)?

mine LOVES people. he often grazes in the early morning hours and evenings when its cooler, but as soon as someone walks into the yard, he just follows you around. as funny as it sounds, ill take a pressured hose to the backside of his shell and he just starts shakin his ass. its the funniest thing.
will eat from your hand and gets along with 3 dogs (actually, he minds his business, they mind theirs), but if hes walking somewhere, he pays no mind to who (people or dogs) is in his path. you move or get pushed.
