you can tame a iguana? what can they do if you tame them?

All reptiles can be unpredictable, they are not like dogs or cats where you can make a big bond with but sure over time with a iguana they will get use to the fact that you are not a threat to them so therefore they wont be as aggressive towards you. It takes a long time to build trust with many reptiles.

Also to anyone thinking about getting a iguana...they are not cheap, Sure you can go out and buy one for around $20-30 but thats just the iguana. Iguanas need lots of space when they get older, Like 6 foot tall 5-6 foot wide and 4 foot deep cage. Some people actually give the iguana a room in there house.

And also think before you get a iguana that he/she can live to be 20 years old! Think about it, Would you loss interest in him/her?

Are you an owner of an iguana? And do find it fun though to have a pet like this? it's sounds pretty cool.

I am not a owner of a iguana yet, But i have done lots of research and handled them a lot. I really do find it fun to care for these types of animals. They can be just like dogs and just as loving with lots of time care and effort.

I recommend atleast considering a uromastyx if you're looking for a SUPER friendly, easy to manage big warm lizard.

I have two of them and I honestly could not be happier with my choice in picking them.

They eat basically all fruits and vegetables (my mom cuts and dices a wide variety of fruits and veggies and spoils my lizards so bad), and crickets also but only about once per month.
I hand feed my big uromastyx pieces of banana all the time, he absolutely loves it.

I have them out of their cage running around my room for about 15 minutes almost everyday, they're really pretty lazy and slow (well not slow like a turtle, but slow as in very easy to catch with your hands whenever you need to).

Here's some pics of my two uromastyx, sorry for the crappy camera quality :/

Give them some consideration if you're looking for big friendly lizards!

I used to... but back when I owned one, I was in a bad living environment and I was young so I couldn't just go drive and buy it food etc so it "turned against me". It didn't like me cause it wasn't treated right. We gave it to someone that could take care of it though hehe... poor thing...

my point though, as long as you can upkeep it daily they are awesome to have. :)
