ah
i was curious to see how ferrets owuld be with like a cat or dog

Depending on the mentality of the dog or cat, they should get along fine.

Ferrets love anything that moves, and even the things that don't move

-how much was she, where u get her: The ferret itself was in the range of 120.00-150.00. Another chunk of money (probably 150.00-200.00) was spent on a cage, accessories, toys, food, ect. All and all the initial purchase + setup is in the 250.00-350.00 range. I'm sure you could lessen the costs by buying less 'fancy' items, but I went ahead and spent a good chunk anyway. Keep in mind what I own is pretty much start up gear. Cages/accessories can be very expensive (as it is with all pets).

-how much a month does food cost : Food costs is very low considering. I purchase food in 5-7lb amounts for around 25 dollars. This bag will last her approximately two months, sometimes more. I free feed her as well.

-is she potty trained and was it hard to learn : Yes she is (for the most part). She has a litter pan that she uses 99% of the time (which is good enough for me). The training was really "difficult" per say, but it did take a good amount of time for her to fully grasp the idea. The real trick is to place her "mess" into the litter pan and clean up all other waste in the cage. This helps to get he to associate the litter pan as the proverbial dumping grounds

-i hear they smell, is that true or they just like most animals : Yes they omit a musky odor. The glands are generally removed and the females will not be as 'stinky' as the males. They also have somewhat an oily skin, which will accumulate in their fur after a period of time. A quick bath will take care of that. By far the smelliest part about a ferret is their pee. If you make a good effort to maintain a clean cage then the smell will hardly even be noticeable.

-do u let her roam free most of the day or usually just in a cage? : When I am home, she is out of her cage either running about in my room or sitting on my shoulder. When I am away she is in her cage. Ferrets are VERY curious and have no real instinct of what is dangerous and what is not. They must be observed for their safety.

Had I known more about ferrets when I got the one, I definitely would have gotten Kitty a companion.

She's pretty old and set in her ways O_o

It would, in my opinion, not be a wise decision to alter he lifestyle this late in her life.

This here be the ferret known as Kitty.  Forgive the terrible, low quality phone picture...

Sleeping, as per usual, the little ferocious bundle of fun dreams of getting stuck in places that will piss me off.

This picture is actually of her when she was much younger.  She is a few years old now and still doing fantastic.

haha cute lil animal, got anymore?
