Dude that's a badass snake, thanks for the reply. Why do you like these snakes? And what do you think of red tails

These are still fairly new as they have only been imported in recent years. They various patterns that can be produced by breeding them with other carpets. Above is an irian jaya, below is a coastal/jaguar. carpets tend to have attitude. redtails are fine snakes as well, but common. they get to be around 6 ft long, which is plenty. carpets reach anywhere from 7-10ft. mixed stories from different folks. but they get big.

Those are both awesome snakes. I may even just go with a Ball Python to keep things easy in case I have to move around or anything. How long have you had snakes for? Do you plan on getting any other snakes? What made you want that breed?

ive had snakes for about 8 years now. a friend of mine got me into them and he is a breeder of both snakes and tortoises and got me into the hobby. it gets addicting. Any other snakes I get will be locally caught. CA kings, mountain kings, and rosy boas. My new neighbor actually keeps hot snakes (poisonous), so i may get into chatting with him and considering keepign a few rattlesnakes as well, but i gotta work up the courage. as beautiful as they are, thats a risk im still weighing. balls can be pretty cool. I breed and sell mice to a few breeders in my area, there are some very interesting morphs out there. mojave spiders (ball python morph) are pretty attractive.

I have just a normal ball python. Such a great temperament.
