Yup.

I do think $90 is a pretty good price for that amount of work. Did they give you any type of topical or pill-form antibiotic? The wound has probably been sterilized enough to fight any infection (especially with the inoculations), but keep a tube of neosporin on hand and as long as it doesn't cause the dog immense pain apply it to the area every now and again. Dogs are loveable, but dirty!

Aside from the penicillin, which is useless crap now, the vet basically gave you free service. You should thank them. Go see your regular vet soon and get it checked so you can get started on some oral antibiotics.

No, if it was a traumatic enough injury you could have just bought a bullet for 50 cents and been done with it. Saved you a whole 89.50$.

Driving a pickaxe through your skull would cost even less than $.50.

yes that is very cheap compared to what my cat has gotten.
the cat is outside cat and it came home twice with its side having one tear that was about 6" long and the vet bill was $150-200 but it had to get stiches and a drain tube. And this vet is a very good friend so ya u got off on the cheap side

Shaving and cleaning the wound are pretty much free service at any vet clinic. You basically paid for the injections and closing of the wound.
But overall, cheap still. At my practice, that would have generally be 100$+ but not much more than what you paid.
