seems really good for a poison build, is that a thing?

Nothing, additive damage is pretty bad, especially on rings. Most popular poison builds are still scaling crit so you'd want crit chance/damage and probably lucky hit too. And on HC you'd definitely want life. This is a 1/4 ring unfortunately, additive damage rolls are just not desired
