Hey guys,

I am looking to buy some new audio for my little daily driver.

First of all, I do like to turn it up loud after a nightshift but i'm def not looking for insane competative stuff, I just want it to sound good.

I mainly listen to rock and (hardcore) drum & bass.

For the fronts, I have little 4'' speakers as these fit in the factory holes. I don't want to cut up my car. Want it to look as OEM as possible. They are phoenix gold speakers and are being fed by my aftermarket pioneer radio, definitely nothing special and I know fronts are more important, but this will do.

Now for the rear, I'm leaning towards the JL Audio TR690-TXI (60w rms 6x9). I didn't buy these yet but did some research and I'm willing to try them out.
I didn't pick a subwoofer yet but planning to get a 10'' in a vented box, and I have no clue what amp to get to hook this up on. but it has to be small. I currently own a lightning audio S2.500.4 and I like it alot. but it's way too big and heavy for my liking. I would prefer something smaller that needs smaller cables.

TL DR:

Which subwoofer and amp do you guys recommend? looking for something not too bulky.
I am thinking of a 4 channel amp, 2 channels for the 6x9 speakers, and 1 bridged channel for the sub. I know seperate amps would be better. But i'm trying to save as much space as possible as I don't have alot of room and I carry stuff often.

Thanks alot! :)

Buy yourself one of these:

https://www.skaraudio.com/collections/sk-mini-compact-car-audio-amplifiers/products/sk-m9005d-car-amplifier

You can then amp ALL of your speakers and subwoofers... Buy the same brand/model as your fronts but for the rears, don't mix and match speakers if you can avoid it, size differences sure, but not models/power rating etc.. That amplifier will give you 60W per speaker which is plenty for low end coaxials and it will give you about 600w for the subwoofer.

Just hook this amplifier upto your Pioneer deck, amp the fronts and rears and subwoofer, that's what 5 channels were made for, it's also ultra compact. You say you listen to rock and drum and bass, just go with like a 10" 500W subwoofer in a ported box something like this, the subwoofer and box are great for higher response frequencys like the upper 30's and lower 40's so that's perfect for rock, might not be ideal for rap though but will still sound decent on higher notes.:

Rule #1 about car audio, don't cheap out on the box, it's the most important part of any subwoofer system.

I was not aware you were international, you need to disclose your location if you are outside of the U.S because that is another thing. Where do you live?

I am from the Netherlands. Some brands are not being sold here unfortunately.
