I look for new head units that give you the ability to adjust your front speakers frequency and back speakers frequency
but all i find are these half assed expensive head units that only give you a equalizer and presets to work with..

i have 2 12's so i dont like bass coming out the speakers,
i like the treble on the speakers only really for hard claps and not being bogged down with bass when cranking past 35 db

best bet is to get another unit to handle it, that does it better and cleaner anyways

Use an external amp and tune your high/low pass filters.

You still want it speakers for mid bass

If you look on pioneers site they have a lower budget alternative to the 80prs that includes network mode an some neat features for around 100$

I mean its still a 100$ radio, its gonna feel cheap, its got 4v outputs and network mode tho, so if you're on a budget and not interested in spending 80prs money, thats ur guy.... i think it might be the 512bt but dont quote me on that.. check the site, and check for those specs you'll find it... crutchfield sells it iirc




ALSO most headunits have a separate highpass filter for the front and rear/subwoofer channels... maybe you're just not looking at it the right way.... but if you want network mode (allows you to bandpass the front/rear speakers) go with that pioneer

Stop buying $50 walmart headunits? The Pioneer 80PRS can do everything you want and is only about $250.
