How hard would it be to install just a 10" sub in a 2012 135i

would I have to install a headunit?

any way to not have to wire an amp?

not any harder than any other car.

no you won't need a head unit.

nope you don't have a choice but to run the amp wiring all the way from the battery. no other wires are large enough to handle the amperage an amp requires.

Unless it's a mini-amp.
I run my mini-amp for my speakers directly to my headunit.
I will say I got some WEIRD voltage coming from the headunit at first, but only for about 10 minutes after installation.

The amp for my subs of course are directly to the battery.
