Around $500, will spend a bit more if it's a big bang for the buck. Still a "broke" college student.

3: What exactly do you want your outcome to be? (Good sounding music, or loud bass?)
Good sound throughout the whole spectrum.

4: And specific sub sizes that you prefer more than others?
Don't know much about them, do some sound better than others? Anyone that know much about these specific cars know what fits well?

5: How much trunk space do you want to use up?
Vic's have a lot, but I use a lot so preferably not too much. Something that would fit next to the spare tire? I've also seen them mounted in the rear deck between the factory ones, kind of car specific tho.

6: What type of features are you looking for in a CD Player (aka Head Unit)? (Ex: USB, AUX, BlueTooth, etc)
Android capability (I play almost exclusively off my phone, hardly ever use radio/cd).
Prefer USB, Bluetooth a bonus if it doesn't add much to the price.

7: What type of music do you listen to?
Everything, with a strong emphasis on hard rock/heavy metal (won't get genre technical).

8: Is your stock stereo system amplified? (You may or may not know this)
Pretty sure no.

9: Do you have Steering Wheel Controls? (Volume/Seek on the steering wheel)
Since I don't have the car yet, and most don't, lets assume NO.

Other questions:
How much will having a sub actually add to the sound quality of my system?
What would be the difference of having a sub mounted to the rear deck as opposed to a sub box?
What are the advantages of both sealed and ported sub boxes?

sealed is more quite and ported is real loud and the the sub wont actually help the quality without nice speakers. id definitely put it in a box and no put the sub on your rear deck.

Bump. Due to financial restrictions I will not be doing a sub at this time. I have decided I am looking for 3 things:
Headunit - Something compatible Spotify on Android via USB. Android rapid charge is a big plus but not a must.
Speakers - Want to do 6.5's in the frond doors for better sound quality up front, and 6x9's in the rear to maintain a decent bass sound. Not sure where to go on 2way vs 3way, the 2 arguments I've heard is that 2way causes less sound interference as the sound waves are leaving the woofer cone, and that 3way puts less stress on the woofer as the tweeter and supertweeter can cover a larger frequence range. Anyone care to give me some better insight on this?
Amplifier - Obviously something to relatively match the speakers in terms of output, and do a good job at not distorting sound quality.

wait til pioneers new head units come out and pick one up in your price range. it'll be a couple weeks before they are out though.

component speakers are the best choice. separate pieces for the tweeter and woofer so no downsides except making you a spot to mount the tweeters(cutting circle in door panel somewhere with a drill and hole saw. takes like 2 secs each.

the year models youre looking at where all 6x8 so you need something like http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_4966_Scosche-SA68.html to mount round shaped ones instead of oval ones.

amp should wait until after the subwoofer is done.

a few reasons to wait on door speaker amp:
1. you'll have to take the car apart more than once if you do one amp and then another amp down the line. wiring them requires taking off trim pieces and door panels so its just easier to wait.
2. without a subwoofer its kind of a waste of performance.
3. your head unit has an amplifier that does a good job already as long as its not competing with a subwoofer lols.

I went for 6" focal type S component speakers and they sound great, have really high tones and very clear sound, with a JL 4x100 amp to run them. If youre getting an amp to run speakers make sure youre looking at multi channel amps.
