3: What exactly do you want your outcome to be? (Good sounding music, or loud bass?) dont need crazy bass, just want good clarity in sound and maybe a little bass, but no need extreme bass
4: And specific sub sizes that you prefer more than others? not sure
5: How much trunk space do you want to use up? prefer not to use any trunk space, but its possible if needed?
6: What type of features are you looking for in a CD Player (aka Head Unit)? (Ex: USB, AUX, BlueTooth, etc) my stereo already has aux and usb charger port, all i really need, dont need bluetooth but it already has this too
7: What type of music do you listen to? rock and electronic, some trap
8: Is your stock stereo system amplified? (You may or may not know this) dont know
9: Do you have Steering Wheel Controls? (Volume/Seek on the steering wheel) yes i do, but i dont care if i loose them, dont even use them anyway, just change settings on the stereo




basically i just want to replace stock speakers. they are absolute shit, just got the car

but ive had cars in the past where u would need a new amp and new subs if u replaced speakers, wondering if thats the case now?

the bass is pretty shitty, it sounds horrible too (it almost hurts to listen to, its so flat) , but i guess i can live with it, maybe a small aftermarket sub would be nice? speakers are probably the easiest thing and cheapest to boost sound quality?

Buy a decent component set $100 - $150
Buy a decent 4 channel amp. $80-150
Enough sound deadner to do both doors $25-$50
Wire kit for amp $25-$50
New head unit $100ish make sure has 2 sets of rca connections.
Will sound alot better. Don't worry about rear speakers just do a really good job at installing the mids in the doors and the tweeters where you want them. If you want to add a sub later just make sure your headunit has 3 sets of rcas. Or you could use a converter but i hate those.

i was looking up component vs coaxial speakers, and it seems component speakers sound better, but is it possible my car cant fit them?

and do i need to buy an amp? and new stereo? wondering if its just possible to buy new speakers? would the amp make that much of a difference to justify spending the same amount on amp as speakers?

the sound deadner seem cheap enough to get if they would boost quality, never heard of them. is it like some foam to install inside the door panel to prevent sound leaking?


also for speakers can u suggest any brands or type of component speakers? they all look the same to me to be honest, or what should i look for? larger speaker size better and what else?

also ive heard something about using up too much power for sound system and needing a new car battery or something? or that it can interfere with how the car runs overall because everything uses power, and if the sound system draws too much that can be dangerous to the car?

in addition to my post above. i read that u should just buy same size speakers as factory? but also you have get an adapter to fit other sized speakers into car. and possibly need to drill new holes into door.... sounds complicated if need to drill new holes. cause stuff behind the panel u cant see, and drilling?

also im sort of confused about the amp still. i guess it is good to get for speakers. and the stereo too. even though the stereo i have now is fine, but i guess a new one thats aftermarket would help produce better sound from speakers?

would it be bad to just get the cheapest possible stereo and amp? and then spend mid range on speakers?


and what are preamp channels on stereo? would i need 4? assuming i get a 4 channel amp? or are these different?

Damn. Alot of reading. Ok so as far as sound deadner buy it from a company called soundqubed. They also sell component speakers. They are decent. You would want a 6.5 inch comp set. They also have a really good 4 channel amp and wiring kit available. A little pricier but very good equipment. Another really good budget comp set is incriminator audio. A amp makes all the difference in the world. And with a 4 channel you won't have to upgrade electrical or anything else as long as you dont add any crazy subs right now. As far as the head unit / stereo itself just buy a pioneer or sony from Walmart. The box says how man rcas it has. Try to get one with 3 sets that way you can add another amp and subs later on if you choose. Installing sound deadner is easy its a thin layer of sticky rubber with aluminum foil on it pretty much. Just pop your door covers off and apply it on the inside of the door and the outside behind where the panel goes. There are alot of youtube videos on the subject and really ez to do. The comp set is ez to install too just order 6.5 mdf rings off amazon or cut some yourself. It's not all that difficult.

And rear speakers are pointless. Don't worry about them save that money and buy decent amp and components.
