I have a 2007 vw rabbit hatchback

I recently installed mtx terminator subs (2 12s) and I have a jx 500/1 amp powering them

I feel like they don't bump as hard as i'd like them to, I want people to hear me a mile away

I checked the voltage the amp was receiving and it was right around 10-11v (i wired the remote wire to cigarrete lighter fuse since stock head unit doesn't have a remote wire hook up)

what could I do to make them bump harder? I had them tuned properly and bass boost is set to 0... everywhere I look people are saying there terminators are bumping hard as fuck but mine just dont feel like they are going that hard

all I have right now is the 2 12s and the amp, the speakers and head unit are stock

Your not going to get any crazy bass from those subs. For sure get a aftermarket unit. Did you use line out converters for the rcas?

Yes would I be wasting money getting a ported box? What should I sldo to make these hit hard

Sundowns good, so is DC audio, Fi caraudio, emf, digital designs, personally I will never buy jl again cuz its super over priced.

I've had every size w7, yes they sound nice but can still get more for the money.

Anyone feel like finding me good set of 12s with compatible amp that will just bump hard as fuck for like 6-700$?

14fg vs any good sub/amp combo someone can find me for around 800, I got ported box for 2 12s that I just moved my mtxs over to for now.

I have head unit on the way (it's a gift so no idea what kind or anythjng)

Can I get amp/subs that are gonna hit hard as fuck for that price?

If your terminators are dropping your volts to 10 or 11 you should be more worried about a new alternator or batter first bud. Then find a different system.

I'm assuming you are pushing 500 rms Max you must have the subs either wired all sorts ducked up or the amps not even close to tuned correctly, a stock alternator should be able to keep up with that as long as your batteries good.

E/ knowing what amps your running and the impedance (ohm) of your terminators would help also. I'm guessing single 4 ohm each. But you should check

I will check voltage again when I get home. But when I swapped out boxes I noticed the remote wire didn't have good connection to the amp so maybe that would explain voltage.

What do the ohms matter? Should ohms on subs match ohm on amp?

Don't get me wrong they definitely make a difference and they sound pretty clean but they don't hit near as hard as I'd like
