Best bet is to hook it up, multi meter your inputs and outputs, look for a broken connection. This is all assuming your wiring is correct, you have the correct gauge wires. Your not overloading the amp trying to push it too hard. The watt rating doesn't mean shit, match up the speaker/amp RMS rating. Did you witness the amp working before you purchased it? If so, and it worked...I would go over your install and check your setup for compatibility. I.e. working amp load to what you're trying to push.
