just installed new front/rear/sub/deck in a old pick up

The 2 front door speakers kind of have a rattling to them I'm guessing bc of the metal door, what would be the best way to fix this? I thought about buying some foam sheets and cutting them placing between the speaker and door, is this the best way to fix?

most likely wires on the inside rattling around could tape them down even put weather stripping on in certain areas. my civic had a spoiler i had same problem ended up putting weather stripping behind license plate on the inside and taped alot of the wires down solved alot of the probs. or because truck is so old whole thing is rattling and ur fucked haha

Well the only wires in the door are the speaker wires, I notice the whole darn window crank thing is moving around that might be the rattling sound

That's.. probably not it. But you should certainly fix that too, that's simple, they are held on by a single clip, all you need to do is cut a few oversized washers and put in between the clip and the plastic and your done.

As for the raddling, you should get Dynamat or an alternative sound dampening material, and line the doors with it. If your finances can handle it, line the firewall and rear wall too. If you want to get real crazy and thorough, line the roof and floors! the more the better, this not only reduces raddling by an amazing amount, but improves sound quality+volume by an amazing amount inside and out.

well this truck is gonna be expensive so ima try to do it right :D completely restoring a old 4x4 F100

I planned on doin the floor in that stuff but not the roof bc it's all bare metal but I have to put carpet down to hide wires :(

When you say the doors too is that on the inner or outter door or both?

The roof being all metal that's a great opportunity to put dynamat on it and you can tac headliner to the dynamat.
Put dynamat beneath the carpet.

There's no way to do the inner side of the door without obstructing window cranks so you'll want to put it on the outside panel from inside the door on the other side of the glass, those trucks have deep doors so there should be enough clearance for dynamat and wire routing if you wanted to add things later like tweeters
