my truck?
I've got around 180GB of music I want to bring with me.
I've tried using a regular netbook, which I found was difficult to navigate without a touchscreen and the netbook sitting on the seat.
iPod classic prices are absurd, the last classic I bought died.

I thought about getting a large capacity SD card for my phone, but the price of a high capacity SD card is extreme and I don't know if my Note 3 can support 128GB or 256GB sd cards, and the price on them is rather high.
I thought about buying a tablet that has a USB port and using an external HDD, but it seems the tablets that have USB ports don't have fast enough hardware.
I thought about building a carputer, which I have all of the parts I need except an expensive touch screen.
I thought about buying a touchscreen netbook, but unless it's one of the new tablet/laptop combos, it seems unrealistic to use and those are very expensive..

Is there some obvious option I'm missing here?

I currently have an 8GB iPod touch and it's just not enough.. but I love how I can control the iPod from my headunit controls, and the sound quality is excellent over USB.

Headunit is Pioneer DEH-6200bt.

Let me know if I missed anything important..
Help is greatly appreciated.

Plugged directly into my headunit? That'd be impossible to navigate! lol

Really 180gb...thats fucking absurd. You don't need all that music at once. That's what 40k songs?...

The songs can be played in offline mode..aka no signal needed, so that will be fine. You can bluetooth you phone and have all these songs. This is what I'd do.

Otherwise If you really need every song ever made all at once then this is a decent option. Get like a 500gb usb external drive

uhh... they advertise "You can also just throw some files on a USB thumb drive and insert it directly in the front panel USB input. " as a feature so obvious there is some folder navigation controls on the deck. navigating through folders is like a 2 botton + control wheel affair, how difficult is that?

You should use a lot of usb keys, small ones, simply put... drop 1 album each, or several and you can bring a lot with you and chose what ever you want. Then again you have to choose 1 album or playlist at a time.
