I'm about to buy two HDS 312s for my truck and then I can later switch them to a car if I decide to get one. The one thing I'm curious about is what type of amp should I get?

They will be using 1200 RMS with a peak of 2400 max wattage.

I was thinking about getting a Q.2200.1 and was curious if this is too much power? Is the Amp have 2200 RMS or 2200 Max also? Thank you.

Man you have made like 50 post about this exact same thing. If yoir going to run the 2200 then upgrade your electrical some. 1/0 wire at least. Do the big 3. A high output alt would be ideal. Yes the 2200 does rated. Does more than rated on good electric. It will do great on those subs but keep a eye on the voltage because you will forsure fry those subs with that amp clipping them.
