I have an Energsy S8.3 subwoofer, and my amp is a Yamaha RX-V373

I plug the audio pin from the woofer out to the woofer in and the woofer has NO SOUND AT ALL, but when I integrate it in with the speaker wire and share the channels it works fine, but of course then the speakers and woofer are only getting half a channel of power so I cant really crank it.

Any suggestions on why? And its not the cord, when I unplug it from the amp and touch the pin it gives me the loud hum, and when I plug it in it makes the connection sound... but then when I wanna play something it doesnt register anything.

Makes me sad :'(
