So I have a 1000w kenwood kac 7203 amp and 2 diamond audio d3 12 subs.

16awg speaker wire and 4awg amp kit.

Issue I am having is that when using both subs unbridged, they are much quieter than when using a single one unbridged.

When bridging the subs, the fuse blows, even after tuning the amp down.

I am not to savvy when it comes to car audio, but my wiring is fine, running a single d3 it was perfectly fine.

Both subs individually work fine.

Ask if you need any further info.

Sounds like you are hooking them up to an impedance range that is not stable. Do you know the difference in parallel and series circuits? Also, the wiring is not fine if you are causing the amp to overload causing the fuse to blow. Seriously sounds like you are trying to hook them up in parallel and either not doing it right causing a short circuit or your amp is not able to withstand the current draw...


Are the sub's dvc or SVC? Also are you using a monoblock amp or a 2 or 4 channel amp? There are tons of variables..

You need a stronger fuse or possibly the wires are old change the wires. it's hard for me to see because i cant see the pictures of the vehicle is it old or new?

what kind of ohm imp are the subs?
dual 4 ohm? dual 1 ohm?

2-channel car amplifier
170 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (250 watts x 2 at 2 ohms)
500 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms (4 ohm stable in bridged mode)

in bridge mode you can only run those subs wired to 4 ohms.
that is if your subs are dual 4 ohm from the start

if your dual 2 ohm subs you can only run them in 2 ohms unbridged
