I am trying to put Subwoofer into my 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 Extended Cab in the Back seat. I still want the back seat there but instead of having space for 5 people I was thinking about taking the middle section seat of the back out and getting to single seaters on both sides and was wondering if it could fit and work. This is what I was thinking of.

Subwoofer I want to put inside

Amplifier -

Get singles on each side (is there a place I can even buy single back seats?)

Sit this upright in the middle of the truck in the backseat.

If someone can link me to some backseats for a 2001-2006 GMC Sierra / Chevy Silverado Leather back seats that would be great that are singles or go on each side. Do they make seats for each sit or is it only one certain side?

Would the box even fit between the sides and would it hit hard enough to even fit in there well? I seen someone else pull it off but its a completely different setup and wondering how he got the seats.

Let me know what you guys think. Also should I get a 2 Ohm coil or a 4 Ohm coil?

Also would I need a custom box for this or should I get one premade?

The question is not will it work, but how you will make it work. Bucket seats at a junk yard and custom box yes. Why not?

Also, 2 ohm coil has less resistance and would take more power. 4 Ohm coil has more resistance and less power unless you wire it in parallel. If you have two 4 ohm speakers wired in parallel the amp and sub's need to be 2 ohm stable if monoblock. Wired in series would be 8 ohm for two 4 ohm subs so make sure you know what you are doing. There are a lot of variables. How many channels will your amp be (or will it be monoblock)? I am guessing monoblock considering it is 1.1200.... Sub's are SVC or dvc? This is something else to consider. If you have two sub's and both are 4 ohm dvc then the total parallel resistance is 1 ohm. Very dangerous on an amp that cannot support it unless you wire both sub coils in parallel then wire them together in series which totals 2 ohms. Two SVC 4 ohm sub's wired in parallel would be 2 ohms. But the resistance value totals should equal what the amp can run stable.. Just one sub is easy enough. Use ohms law and power formula for any instance. Sorry to confuse. BTW you have an image of a truck with two sub's but you only want one sub in your truck? This is where the confusion sets in... Also do the formula for yourself. I do not accept responsibility for damaged equipment.
