Alright ladies and gents, I'll be getting 100FG a little later today and if someone
can help me get this resolved I would happily forward that to you.

I went out and bought a Pioneer FH-X700BT for my 2004 Chevy Cavalier.
I bought the correct wiring harness, wiring to retain chimes, and a mounting kit.
This will be the first time I'm attempting to install an aftermarket stereo.

If any of you would be able to guide me through this process I would GREATLY
appreciate it. I don't know how much of a hassle it would be to do so, but if your time
is worth more than 100FG I could get more, I just want to get this damn thing installed.
I can post pictures if necessary.

the instructions that came with the harness should be all you need. it's just connecting wire A to wire B.

use butt connectors and/or good quality electrical tape as like 9/10 install issues involve not connecting the wires securely.

Right, it seems simple enough except..
There are two Constant/Positive (Yellow) wires and two Negative/Ground (Black) wires from the vehicle side of the harness and only one of each on the radio side of the harness.
Do I crimp all three together?

Also, the factory radio generates all the warning chimes and I do not know how to connect the chimes kit to the harness.

Anddd..
"There's no accessory power wire in the factory harness--the computer controls the radio on/off functions."
^ This is what I read on another blog site, he mentions routing the red accessory wire from the head unit to a key-switched voltage source. Is this a concern to me?

yeah just combine them if they are the same wire slot. if you aren't sure if that's what it is then just tape it off and test out the radio before putting the dash back together.
