Hmmm I got an rf500-1 Mono Prime amp to Power these 2 subs ( Alpine Type R 15's)wired at one channel. (At 2 Ohms) Is that safe or should I get a bigger amp ?
Its been Pushing 2 15's just fine but not type r's (rockford P1 15's)

You can run em like that if you want. They can honestly take 1000 rms per. Couple questions though. They d4? Sealed or ported box? Also dimensions of the box would be good to

still underpowering them but generally 1500rms is too much for a stock electrical system.

Ur running them fine.. Your in a sealed box then don't try and over power them at all.. Your setup is fine for the moment especially if you have stock electrical
