Hi there,

my problem is as followed:

my radio supports usb so i bought myself a tiny usb 3.0 with 16gb. i have longer usb sticks 2.0 that works fine with my radio but these sticks alway get rekt by the pessenger next to me.

so i bought the tiny usb one put some music on it and when i plug it into my radio and want to run the music on it, all tracks play the start, then skip like 2 or 3 seconds then play the song for 1-2 seconds and then skip it again. its like as if you put a cd in your cd player with many scratches on it.

this happens to all tracks on the usb device. i though maybe the data on it might be corrupted but when i put the stick onto my computer and run the music on it everything is fine.

could it be that my radio doesn't support usb 3.0 or is there maybe a way to format the stick so music will play normal?

thx for any answers in advance.

tl;dr: car radio skips through tracks on usb 3.0 but plays fine on usb 2.0

try fat 32 format aside from that it may just be an issue of compatibility especially if its fairly old.

did you try ntfs format? if both aren't working there isn't much you can do but hope its a allocation unit size issue and try them all.

also what size was the usb 2.0 drive? might not support 16gb flash drives

and i have to ask...the music files are the proper format correct?

i will try that out. and yes usb size was < than 16gb on the one i used before. all music files have been .mp3 think i will also try out other music formats and see if that will help :) as soon as i tried that out i will give response if it worked (could take a while cause i'm still at work :'D)
