this is the kinda space im working with




thinking about trying to put a couple 12s behind the seats. not sure if i could fit any bigger with a box to go with it. anyone got any ideas where theyd mount amps/ run wires?

i haven't done any trucks like this but generally you'll run the amp wiring under the removable trim panels.

you can get smaller size amps if you can't think of a good spot for a regular sized amp.

give the seat height changes i don't think it'd be wise to mount the subs behind them. again just pointing out a generalization as i don't know the specifics on this truck.

the few truck setups i've seen done usually put the subs under the bed area.

yeah true, theres plenty of space down there. and yeah the seat would probably break the box eventually. mounted under the bed amps and all would be the best route, but i gotta figure out how to get the aux wires from the front to the rear, shop says im not allowed to drill holes in the cab, its a lease truck.

there is usually some spots in the firewall you can run stuff through but its kind of a hassle and might cause a little bit of damage to a grommet if you need to open up a hole for it.

just going to have to look around the firewall area and hope for some room somewhere.

worse case scenario you get a pc power supply and just plug it into an electrical outlet in the truck. figure around $50-60 for a 500-ish watt handling one.

theres a few grommets where the main power wires come through the firewall, where the clutch would be seeing its a automatic. or where the throttle cable goes through the firewall there is a grommet too. i suggest not going through the steering column "boot"

as for box designs for under your bed. i can design a box and amp rack for you. just need dimensions. lmk
