Right now the sub is wired in parallel, so it means 2ohms going to the amp.

My amp is only r ated 4ohm stable when bridged.

1 ) Since it's old stuff and don't really care about it, and that it held fine for like 2 years in my previous car, do you think I can go 2 ohm bridged and get 400w RMS to the sub? Or you suggest to wire in serie and go 8ohm, safer but only like 100 w RMS..?

2 )the power wire I have is 8 AWG. Considering I'm gonna need max 15 ft, will it be enough?

halfing the ohms does not double the power.

if you run it below its stable rating then chances are it's going to burn up. this ofc is not universal, but i would bet on that particular amp failing pretty quickly.

8 gauge is fine

tbh this really isn't worth messing with.

So you would hook it in series and go 8 ohm?

only reason im installing an audio in the car is cause its laying in my garage.... lol

don't really wanna pay for new equipment.

8ohm or 2 ohm if you wanna gamble pretty much.

you are free to do what you want but either way you'll probably end up with a pile of trash from going 2 ohm or turning the gain and bass boost all the way up because its not going to be loud at all.

on top of that you'll be drilling holes in the car and spending a significant amount of time hiding the wiring.

just not really worth the trouble for old low end audio equipment imo

yea ill gamble with 2 ohm if it burns well too bad..ill just trash it and not get another
