Have a Dodge Ram 1500. With the upgraded alpine sound system. It comes with a 10inch already. Looking for more bass. I think my speakers are fine. With them being all Alpine. But what subs would be best?
I usually like running two amps one mono for the subs and a four channel for my speakers... but I have 8 speakers. ..

you can run 8 speakers off a single 4 channel amp. they wire to 2 ohms per channel when you do this.

how much room are we talking about for the sub/box?

Well. It's a crew cab. Lots of room in the back. They have the 10inch under the seat. But I'm under the impression there are subs designed flat for trucks? To fitunder the seat?

there are slim subs but their output and low end suffer because of it.

can you get me some basic measurements of where the box would be sitting(if you are wanting to put it like under the seat)

I would agree to upgrade those speakers and start from there amping those stockies will blow them.
