okay so im new to this shit but i bought a stereo and the plug doesn't fit into the new one,
So do I have to buy some kind of adapter? or do I have to splice the wires? idk exactly what to do

Wire harness that came with stereo plugs in back of stereo. Plug that is in car will need a wire harness which can be purchased at any local audio shop, and yes they are car specific. THEN you split the 2 harnesses together so you can always easily go back to stock.
