Have 2x 12" kenwoods in my car. The current amp I have is shitty and will shut off if too much bass pushes....

any suggestions? I have no idea what to look for :S I'm obviously ignorant when it comes to car audio.

amp could only need to be tweeks if you have the gain maxed its bad try turning it to 2v on the dial

I would make sure everything is properly installed and good to go before you waste money on a new amp just to find out that isnt your issue. Amps just don't turn off for no reason.

Probably is only 2 ohm stable and he has hooked up at 1 ohm.

It shuts off because you have the gains set incorrectly..

Provide model of said woofer and current amplifier it's probably wired wrong.
