Stock speakers in my Honda Civic. I play my music very loud and nearly 90% of the time i'm in the car.

Was hungover and driving to work a couple weeks ago and was listening to a song with decent bass (Kid Cudi) and heard an odd pop. Ever since, the speakers just aren't as loud or as sharp as they used to be. For someone who drives quite a bit and finds music therapeutic, this is a huge disappointment. Car is only 6 years old... what do jsp?

replace them and the head unit and be done with it.

$130 for a good entry level head unit

$60-70-ish per set of entry level speakers.

quick look at 07 civic install gear is $30 on top of that cost.

go to walmart and buy a head unit.. and speakers for that matter.. they have good enough items for what ur looming for at a fraction of the price..
