if you aren't even willing to fabricate or buy motor mounts why are you even considering doing a swap? those are like the bare essential things you deal with in a swap.

put an ls series motor in it, there are thousands of threads online of people putting them in everything, they make everything readily available for these swaps. Another option would be to put a 383 stroker (350 block with a 400 crank in it) in it if you want the oe old school vibe.

in a chevette though you are going to have to do lots of body work/suspension/fabrication to make it work at all.

just not a good platform unless you have lots of disposable time and money.

This. Usually involves getting a custom driveline too.

You can buy a kit for just about any motor swap now a days. Not like you will actually have to fabricate the parts. Just spend more $

Good choice on the Chevette though
would like to see some pictures of the whole swap if you have time

he was looking for a plug and play swap...he didn't know it was far more complicated than unbolting 1 engine and bolting any other in its place.

and an LS swap would require so much work its ridiculous. suspension work, body work not only to fit wider tires but to fit the engine and strengthening it overall, body work to get new tranny to fit, completely redoing all the fuel and electronic systems, make your own gauge cluster etc etc etc

better to just buy a car that already has the engine in it unless you feel like paying a shit ton of money to have an obscure car that will have serious traction problems.
