So I've done quite a few car stereos and
when my and my homie were tweeking on our
new beamer the other night I took the head unit out to
swap it for a new touch screen and I shit you not
there's 28+ wires in there and more than 1/2 of them
have no explanation even on the internet and they are all
like the same fucking colors but opposite. (Like red with
a blue stripe and blue with a red stripe) they are 2 totally
different wires that do different shit and yet they look
exactly 100% the same. . . Orange and brown wires, dafuq.

So I just left the head unit off and was driving to fry's to
get a new wiring harness, every bump I hit all the wires coming
out of the dash were making mad sparks and zapping lmfao.
My home boy sitting in the passenger seat grabs the electrical tape
and was about to start taping the ends of the wires while I was driving.
He somehow actually got tape on 3 - 4 wires before the next one fucked him up hahaha.

im confused

if you had simply removed the old head unit from the factory wiring harness...why would there be wires sparking? did you cut the factory harness off? if so buying an aftermarket radio harness won't accomplish anything since it relies on the factory wiring harness to still be there.

Well our car got impounded when we got caught up and was in there for a month or so
and once we got it out the harness was cut and the 2x 12's and 1500 watt amp were
stolen out of it along with the door speakers, only thing that was left was the head unit
we had put in there but someone cracked the faceplate along with prying the sun roof
open so it now won't open or close right and fucked up our windows to where now the
back ones won't roll down at all and the driver window you have to use your hand to
pull it up or push it down. Fucking scandalous people around here.

Well I was high as fuck and not thinking, oh well it turned into a good laugh, for me anyways.
