All I can say is don't go with any of those amplifiers... All junk for SQ and loudness when it comes to speakers, look for PPI(Precision Power) or maybe something more expensive like one from Crescendo or DC Audio. You don't want to get a crappy amplifier or it will show through your speakers no matter how good they are.

Metal tweeters are all high-pitched and soft tweeters are generally smoother sounding.. Do you want high highs or clarity?
I would also pay attention to the size of the woofer motor. Last year's Type R 6.5s (SPR-17s) had a much bigger motor and will probably get a little louder.
That's a lie the difference Alpine made with the R's is they are now using Neodynium and the reason they use that is because it's more efficient, and smaller for tighter spaces, the power handling and clarity have probably increased if anything by doing this not decreased the R's are better than they ever were before and really great speakers I'd go with them personally.
