i have a 03 silverado and i have 2 12 in kicker cvr and a small 800 watt amp, when i turn volume up amp is going into protection mode , too small of amp or other reason?

amp model number would be helpful.

but ya the problem is you probably have the bass boost and gain turned all the way up.

what sub said, or bad grounds, or bad power cables. or your pulling to much power for your alt to keep up with.

JVC KSAX3101D JVC Digital 800 Watts Mono Amplifier

Bass boost and gain turned all the way down, if it was turned all the up you turn the volume to 1 and the amp would go into proteection now, thatits all the way down it wont cut off till about25/50 on volume.

All Cables are brand new, guess its possible hey could still be bad?

what model cvrs?

tell me about how its grounded. was the paint sanded off?

You have the amp running at 1ohm and it's not meant to do that. You've got to wire the subs in series so that it won't happen anymore.

You can wire them like the link shows or get a better amp.
