Every time bass drops it sucks too much power and even while driving on the highway it almost shuts down my headlights. Tried a capacitor but all it does it postpone the headlights dimming by one drop, and then it sucks the juice right out and same problem.

Would a 2nd battery clear this up or do I need another alternator?

nevermind. seen your other post of your equip. check your ground first off make sure they are well grounded. make sure the paint is removed completely from each ground. if still have problems i would suggest a big 3 upgrade then. adding a second battery or a cap does nothing if your pulling too much power as it is. it will just keep it depleted of power. how many amps is your alternator?

big 3 upgrade and extra battery will help.. ideally a new alt would be best.. but you would need big 3 and a extra battery is never bad

Throwing in another battery would be useless unless it was wired in with the alternator. What kind of amp are you using? To me it sounds like someone taking shortcuts on a crappy amp

And im not sure about the big 3 being the problem, because then would it not have the capability to just suck even MORE power and make the problem worse? I dont think its a problem with harnessing power, I think its the fact that I have about 5000 total watts running and the alternator is like WHAT THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THIS SHIT!?
