i have my iphone cord hooked through the back usb and it randomly cuts off and my iphone will say something like blah blah blah is not supported and it will randomly start like getting static sounding and the song will speed up and then i have to unplug it and plug it back in to fix it... anyone know why it does this or is it just a crappy head unit

mp3 files? some file types may not be supported. however if after you plug it back up the same song works fine then nvm

not really sure what could be causing this aside from the head unit screwing up.

yeah i think it's time to just call it quits and get something new. i don't really care too much about sound to get like a thousand dollar system my kenwood speakers and 8 sub is fine for me so on a budget for a head unit what do you recommend?

blam bluetooth included personally sell these at my store and they sound and function great have HPF/LPF and everyting.

unnecessary options.. all those settings should be off on your head unit.. all settings should come off your amp or equalizer...

What if he doesnt have have an amplifier or equalizer? Not unnecessary at all actually very necessary. Also some headunits don't allow you to turn the LPF off like mine it's old as shit. Most headunits come standard with it but not many $100 headunits have Bluetooth and HPF/LPF that's a rarity for the price also being name brand.

My friend for instance doesnt have a 4 channel so he uses HPF on the headunit and it cleaned his speakers up 100% sounded twice as good just by enabling it I personally wont buy a headunit without freq adjustments unless I know someones running a 4 channel with them.

yeah if u dont have have a amp.. but wtf why not have a amp... you people need to start telling people to go to walmart to buy head units.. soooo much cheaper for the same shit... example awhile back went to bestbuy to get my buddy a head unit. pioneer 6400bt 279.. went to walmart next day pioneer 64bt same as 6400bt google it.. 129.
your right though no amp those options are good.. with amp options unnecessary and will have ur ride soundin like shit.

If I told people to go to walmart I'd be out of the business I went to walmart 4 years ago bought the Pioneer DEH4200UB for $160 on sale still use it... Most people don't have 4 channels because they aren't aware they need them but generally if you dont have much bump in the trunk and you have a decent headunit like the one I listed and you buy some low end door speakers it makes for some good bang for your buck without a 4 channel hell I didnt run a 4 channel for years because my stockies paired with my Pioneer was more than enough for what I had.

But my shop also has nasty deals and we do things like buy 1 set of alpines get second set half price so it makes it worthwhile also we offer tech support for the noobz. I like Alpine and Kenwood and Pioneer in no exact order whichever one has the most bang for my buck. Also like I said some headunits can't turn off LPF and it doesnt sound like shit really all it does is chooses the amps freq over the headunit so it doesnt really matter since your speakers are attached to your amp.
