Looking for a car stereo system for a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport.

Would like it to have a USB so I can plug my phone in to use Pandora. Also, I'm seeing a app on some systems for Pandora. How does that work? Does it need a subscription fee?

pioneer head units have free commercial free pandora for the rest of this year.

other than that you can use pandora app with adds if you don't want to pay for a subscription

and are you wanting just new door speakers and head unit or what?

I was thinking of just getting something I could plug my phone into with a USB and stream Pandora from my phone to the audio system. Is that alright or would I get better quality just getting a system capable of having a pandora app on the system itself?
Something like this; http://www.amazon.com/Kenwood-KDC-208-In-Dash-MP3-Receiver/dp/B004MLWRAY/ref=au_pf_ss_4?ie=UTF8&Make=Jeep%7C42&Model=Cherokee%7C347&Year=2000%7C2000&carId=001&n=1077068&s=car

if you want to use pandora through usb it's all the same thing. if you get a head unit that doesn't have pandora integration then you can't use it through usb. you have to use aux on those head units.

you need aftermarket speakers if you are getting a new head unit.

also that thing is old so don't get it either way.

you'll also probably want to use sonicelectronix because they offer free installation stuff

Alright, that looks good. What door speakers would you suggest?

the thing here is they are rated for 5 1/4 inch speakers all around...6.5s seem to also fit according to multiple jeep forums.

so you can either go with what the stock speaker size is or get 6.5s which should fit.

let me know

If both sizes fit, what would be the pros/cons to picking one over the other?

Of course I want the ones that have better quality, but would that size difference really affect the quality?

6.5 with has more bass to them because the size is basically midwoofer size
